Dr Kate Gould
Dr. Kate Gould is a Clinical Neuropsychologist in private practice, with a focus on the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of cognitive, behavioural and psychological features of Acquired Brain Injury. Dr. Gould has been providing community-based intervention employing evidence-based practice for over 10 years. She received the 2018 Early Career Clinical Innovation Award from the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment. Dr. Gould is also a Research Fellow at the Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre, where she is conducting research on addressing challenging behaviour and cyberscams after brain injury. Dr. Gould received the 2018 Allen Martin Research Scholarship Award from the Summer Foundation to continue her advocacy work on cyberscams and undertake pioneering research in this area. She completed a Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) under the supervision of Professor Jennie Ponsford, AO, in which she undertook a landmark prospective longitudinal study of post-Traumatic Brain Injury psychiatric disorders. Dr. Gould has published multiple peer-reviewed studies and contributed to book chapters on the cognitive, behavioural, neuroanatomical and psychological features of brain injury.
