Alexa Locke

Alexa is a rehabilitation counsellor specialising in vocational assessment and counselling, assisting clients to adapt and adjust to life following brain injury and to learn the skills necessary to acquire new employment and to disclose details relating to their injuries to potential employers. Alexa’s introduction to brain injury occurred when her father sustained a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a mountaineering accident when she was 17. Watching her father make a successful return to work with the support of his rehab team following his TBI inspired Alexa to work with clients with brain injury and their families to help them to achieve their employment goals. She has worked in various roles in occupational rehabilitation, insurance, and human resources and currently manages a team of rehabilitation counsellors and psychologists and has experience working in worker’s compensation, CTP, Lifetime Care and Disability Employment Services. Alexa is a Director of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC).
