Associate Professor Molly Townes O’Brien

Molly is an Associate Professor at the Australian National University’s College of Law. She has served on the law faculties of the University of Wollongong and Emory University and The University of Akron in the United States.  Prior to entering the academy, she worked as a judicial clerk and as a public defender.  She has written three books and articles on race politics, criminal law, trial advocacy and student wellbeing. She has also written about and made presentations relating to her recovery from a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) she sustained in 2013.
