Claire Cooper

Claire was a professional classical pianist for 30 years, living in Melbourne, before she was hit by a car in 2013 by a man who ran a red light. (He was on his phone while he drove and very nearly killed her.) Since then, she has moved to country Victoria, adjusted to life with a brain injury, continued to do extensive rehabilitation, been involved in a Victorian Transport Accident Commission campaign targeting distracted drivers and is beginning to dip her toes back into the music world, even though she can no longer play. She is trying to find something to plug the enormous hole in her life that used to be filled by playing piano.
