Dr. David Jefferies
Dr. David Jefferies is a sports and exercise physician with the Children’s Hospital Institute of Sports Medicine (CHISM) at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney. Dr Jefferies has a wide experience in clinical research involving children with sport-related injuries and is an expert in clinical assessment of concussion, including in the use of evaluation tools such as the Sport Concussion Assessment Tool (SCAT5). He is currently Chief Medical Officer for the Sydney Roosters junior representative Rugby League teams, and Sydney FC’s women’s football team. He has also worked with several elite sports teams including: the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Melbourne Storm Rugby League teams, the New South Wales Waratahs Rugby Union team, the Western Sydney Wanderers and Perth Glory football teams, and he was recently the Chief Medical Officer for 2019’s World Rugby Sevens Sydney competition. He has also been involved with multiple endurance sports including the London Marathon and Ironman.
