Dr. Meagan Clough

Meaghan is an early career researcher within the Ocular Motor Research Laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience at Monash University. Her research focuses on the development of oculomotor biomarkers to help inform diagnosis, prognosis and detect disease or treatment related changes. Since completing her Ph.D in clinical neuropsychology in 2015, Meaghan has been employed as a postdoctoral researcher funded by Novartis and Sanofi Genzyme to extend her research in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and develop a MS-specific cognitive ocular motor battery. Meaghan has also been involved in a seminal, multi-discipline study aimed at identifying biomarkers of both the chronic and acute effects of concussion in Australian rules football. Meaghan leads the oculomotor arm of this project, with her work providing the first evidence of chronic cognitive changes in amateur Australian rules footballers.>
