Dr. Melissa Brunner
Melissa Brunner is an experienced speech pathologist and an early career researcher at the University of Sydney, with a special interest in the use of social media by people with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) to facilitate recovery. She graduated as a speech pathologist over 20 years ago and worked clinically until starting her PhD in 2014. Her PhD thesis examined social media use as a means to communicate and find connections and support for people with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as they move through their recovery. Liss has extensive experience in providing clinical services to people with an ABI, service evaluation, and project management in both health care and university settings.
