Dr. Paul Gertler

Paul is a Clinical Psychologist and Director of NeuroBITE, with more than 20 years’ experience as a clinical psychologist, mostly in rehabilitation of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). He has extensive experience treating TBI, chronic illness, spinal injury, intellectual disability, chronic pain, depression and trauma and has worked in residential rehabilitation clinics, outreach services and private practice. Paul is active in research and completed a PhD in 2020 investigating treatments for depression after TBI. He is currently the Director of the NeuroBITE research database and is a research affiliate of the John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research at The University of Sydney. He is a guest lecturer on the Master of Clinical Psychology programs at UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University and he provides supervision to intern and registrar Clinical Psychologists.
