Jennifer Makovec Knight
Jennifer Makovec Knight is a Doctor of Clinical Neuropsychology candidate at Monash University in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. She has a Bachelor of Psychological Science with first class honours from Australian Catholic University where her research was published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. She is currently completing her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Willmott and Professor Biswadev Mitra on the topic of headgear for prevention of brain injury in youth sport. Jennifer works at the Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Institute as a research assistant on a longitudinal study that investigates the cognitive, behavioural and emotional outcomes following Traumatic Brain Injury. She has also worked on studies on the detection and management of concussion in elite and community Australian Rules Football. Her aim is to provide up to date evidence for parents, players, and stakeholders on the effectiveness of headgear in youth contact sport.
