Magistrate Pauline Spencer

 

Pauline Spencer was appointed a Magistrate in Victoria in 2006.  Prior to her appointment she worked as a lawyer in private practice and the Fitzroy Legal Service. Just prior to her appointment she was the Executive Officer of the Federation of Community Legal Centres – the peak body for 52 community legal centres in Victoria. Magistrate Spencer is interested in how the quality and effectiveness of justice can be improved by drawing from the other disciplines and better understanding the experiences people impacted by the system. Magistrate Spencer is a founding board member of the International Society for Therapeutic Jurisprudence.
