Maria Moran

Maria is a 28-year-old outdoors enthusiast and marketing and communications professional. She suffered a “mild” Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) following a near-death climbing accident in 2019, after which she was diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Having learnt more about how to live with the condition in a journey to recovery, as a marketing, communications and engagement professional at The University of Queensland’s Centre for Advanced Imaging, Maria is passionate about contributing her personal experience to research and helping others in similar circumstances.
