Professor Bruce Brew

Bruce Brew is a physician scientist who is Professor of Medicine (Neurology) at the University of New South Wales and University of Notre Dame, Director of the Peter Duncan Neurosciences Unit and the Neurosciences Program St. Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research and neurologist at St. Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. He is the co-principal investigator on the ADAPT study, a prospective study of the long term consequences of COVID-19 infection. He runs a basic science laboratory and a clinical trials unit. He has written over 400 papers and four books and has over 20,000 citations (Scopus). He is the President of the International Society for Neurovirology and serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including the Journal for Neurovirology, AIDS, and Lancet HIV. In 2015, he was awarded an Order of Australia for his services to neurology.
